View From The Second Chair

Only one person in an organization occupies the first chair. The rest of us function in support roles from the second chair. You can still lead from here but it is part art, part skill, part learned-behavior. These posts record some of my views of how we can be more effective as second-chair leaders.

    About Me

    second chair
    Federal Way, WA, United States
Christ-follower,married 30 years to Julie, father to Kelli, father-in-law to Jordan, expectant grandfather to Lucy (due 9/25/09). I've occupied the second chair most of my life as a youth pastor and associate pastor. I am on the staff of Our Savior's Baptist Church in Federal Way, WA. While I get to serve with a great team and help lead a great church, the opinions and views shared here are not necessarily the views of Our Savior's or other staff.
